On the right-hand side of the page you can see a list of websites where you can advertise for the crew you need for your project. Receive some E-mails and start organising some interviews, who knows you could even advertise for a group of young talent to have meetings and form a small production company. The bottom two websites you have to pay to join but lasts a year and as a producer £3o could make the difference. Either way don't be afraid to get involved.

Find the script! It's the first thing you need to do. When you have found a series of various scripts you then need to go through a few simple stages in working out which one suits you.

1. What is your genre?
You need to know what types of films you like and which type would you be passionate to make because as the producers job you will be around it everyday start to finish. The producer is like the "glue" of the production, you need to make sure your coming to work doing what you love.

2. Can an audience relate to it?
In the sense that will they get enjoyment from the experience, will they learn a lesson from it, is it a true story that needs to be told or is it daring and could possibly stand out from most other films? Whatever the reason, you have to make sure there's an audience for it.

3. What is your budget?
Once you know your budget then you can start seeing the reality of whether this script is going to be possible to make. You should always check the amount of locations inside or outside, the amount of characters, do we have enough money to do the car crash scene etc, because it all adds up.

After finding a script that suits you best we then move onto finding a director and other things you need for production, keeping the writer informed of your plans.

So you have an idea/script that moves you so much you just want to make it, allowing everyone else to view an emotional journey through a cinematic experience, but where do you start? On this page I plan to show you some of the ways to get involved and make that thought in your head a reality.

A film producer creates the conditions for making movies. The producer initiates, coordinates, supervises and controls matters such as raising funding, hiring key personnel, and arranging for distributors. The producer is involved throughout all phases of the film making process from development to completion of a project.

This just goes to show that producing is one of the most stressful jobs in the industry as it is down to you to have your fingers in all the pies, making sure they're still warm and not going cold but before you have the pies you need to bring together the ingredients.
